Plant Philosophy - Can We Do It?
In recent philosophy, people have begun to ask what would it be like to think about plant life without the animal model. Some of the best work in this area is done by botanists and ecologists as well. But can we do it? And to what ends? I think we can certainly become aware of when we're using animal models inappropriately to think about plants.
