China has strengths and weaknesses as a global power. If China continues in its current strategy, investing in infrastructure, building diplomatic relations, avoiding military confrontation, then having them produce an eruption like we're seeing so many recently. That would put the United States and allies to the Philippines, where we would have to be going to war. We would be the aggressor. Would we really do that? If China does it right, they can achieve their objectives without sparking over military confrontation. And if they do, that would be another one of our eruptions.
