How to Use Icons in a Design Environment

Never say universal. And don't test your icons out of context, because that tells you nothing about how they will be used within context. Text is you are textually describing things. The icons are not replacement for that. Have fun with them, but with your users, not at your users. That's what a lot of pictures are for. Oh, can be a real plus. But do it carefully.
