How to Read John for the Wrong Way

This is a book to add to your reading list for sure. It's really, really helpful in terms of how it addresses contemporary issues and just like what it means to read scripture well. I find the traditional interpretation of John for to be both limiting and dangerous. The lessons that are drawn from this story tell women that they are dangerous to men. We see that very explicitly in a number of sermons and story at commentaries on this this text.
