Musicians Are Transitory, Right?
In reading your book, i think i realized how transitory most music culture was. There's a tendency to value things that last more than things that don't. Is there something to celebrate about pop songs that explode and then disappear? You can have journalists with a latively few number of subscribers at sub on substack. If you can get five thousand people to pay you five bucks a month, you've got a healthy business.
