The Moral Imagination

CHAPTER

Elizabeth Holmes - A Scapegoat?

The former founder of Theranos, a company that has been found to defraud it in investors hasn't went to trial yet. We're about nine months away from her going to trial. I think personally that she is guilty of fraud. But it doesn't mean that if she's guilty that we still can't use her as a scapegoat. If you look at the documentary about the downfall of a company, not a single person takes any responsibility for the 10 years that they're raising money and operating. It's just a sign of a scapegoating mechanism at work because it's unanimous against one.
