I think the internet was still pretty niche at the time. People weren't really distributing, you know, full programs or people weren't distributing software online. For me, especially after I went to school, it didn't inspire me the way that it does today. The moment that really like turned the light bulb on for me was both the iPhone, but probably more importantly, the introduction of the App Store. And then with the top of a button, you could distribute that piece of software, that product, that thing you built to hundreds of millions of people.
