The Supreme Court's Reductive and Limited Frameworks in Nancy's Case

Nancy's situation is a little bit different medically because in PBS she was able to breathe on her own. Removing the life-sustaining medical intervention in Nancy's case meant removal of the feeding tubes and a slower physical death than pulling the plug, right? It would mean that Nancy would die by lack of food and water. The court said that there was a fundamental natural right to refuse or direct the withholding or withdrawal of artificial life prolonging procedures when the person has no more cognitive brain function and there is no hope of further recovery.
