Meet ups are much more focused on, what can we do here and now in our community to push this forward? You can start a meet up by just going to a bar with a few bid coiners. So if you're starting a meet up, it's good to get integrated into those regional spaces because they're going to have more time and attention for their own region. It's harder if you just go out on twitter and you try to advertise your meet-up.
