Neil Lawson runs the think tank compass and compass is a big thing. And yeah, apparently he'd been a Labour member for very long time. He tweeted encouraging people to vote for the Greens in an election where Labour was standing. It feels like rules around party membership were very much made in pre-social media times. We still have no idea how to deal with social media, even ifSomeone says something once on Twitter, is that an equivalent to someone saying something to their mates in the pub? Because they've got 72 followers, which should not get you banned from a party or is it the equivalent to campaigning for another party in which case you should get banned.
