The Myth of the Blind Man
Myths are stories that reflect the scapegoat event, but they do not describe it. Every scapegoat event is a reenactment of Jesus's death on the cross. So myth is the memory of a clean conscience that never registered the presence of a victim at all. This is why in the tale of the blind man that Jesus heals, when the blind man is excommunicated from even his parents' house, the law says that you're not even allowed to speak his name again.
