The Bolshevik Land Decree

Lenin was a staunch believer in nationalization and consolidation. He had never advocated local peasant committees taking direct possession of the land. The bolsheviks needed to secure what they had never had, mass support from the santry. When challenged that the land decree was not in keeping with his own nationalization programme, lenin said: "That is unimportant"
