The Role of Task Variety in Happy Workers

Cisco has been on a remarkable run as being named year after year as the best company to work for. One of the really interesting HR practices that always completely fascinated me is they have many ways inside the organization to swap jobs. There's a version of this where you literally swap jobs with someone for six months, just to figure out this choice that I made maybe 10, 15, 20 years ago. It might actually be a great way to get people more engaged.
