"I had an epiphany when I really went into the path of yoga that is prescribed by the ancient seers and the, you know, the elders," she says. "When you master your breath, you can control your thoughts, so many different physiological effects that take place inside the body." The first step to mastering a person's breath is learning how to focus on it; then comes pranayama: knowing how to use its power for good. And finally, there are steps called asana (body movement) and Pranayama (spiritual awareness), which help people find their spiritual center.
