The Benefits of Running Shoes Off

Roxanne Jones: I generally, with some exercises, obviously like some plios and things I got to choose on because you want obviously an isosoft landing. But anything that you can do with shoes off, particularly more for those warm ups and activations, I go shoes off. There are some really good studies now showing that including some exercises like that where you can work, the intrinsic foot muscles can improve running economy. And they can also help prevent injuries as well. So again, why not do it? Same when it comes to particularly endurance athletes in the gym,. often they're wearing their runners and you might have a run, I say, with a really high heel.
