How Do You Measure Drift?

For me, I look at drift occurring after 10 minutes of the run because that's the time it takes for the heart rate to warm up. If you're seeing this a lot, just slow down and it does not hurt to slow down your easy runs. hydration actually plays a big role in drift because if you're dehydrated, your stroke volume is going to drop and then your heart rate has to rise to compensate.
