Is This a Shaman?
In chapter 10 of Hosea, verse 14 says "shaman spoiled Beth Arbel in the days of battle" It's code speak to an ancient person who would have heard it as a stinging rebuke. Some scholars see this as a possibility that it refers to the Assyrian emperor, shamanizr. But remember Israel hasn't been taken over by the Assyrians yet.
