How to Be an Agreeable Host in Debate
I think a lot of people figured out how to navigate their childhood in early life and into adulthood by being agreeable. That kid, I don't think has gone anywhere. He's still around. And I see him all the time and that kid comes out in settings where you're not even expecting it. But then a fifth grade teacher trying to coax me into doing this activity made me a promise, which was that on the debate team, when one person speaks, no one else does. "That promise of attention was irresistible"
