The Quakers and Toleration

The Quakers are extraordinarily brave in taking on the authorities. But it's part of a much bigger argument for long reformation. They make a big contribution to toleration in the later 17th century. Pennsylvania, established by a Quaker, writes liberty of conscience into his constitution. William Penn was a friend of James II Catholic who admired their religious passion.
