The Importance of Climate Change in New York City

I think often there isn't as much discussion on sort of the immediate effects of some of this in terms of like, it gets discussed. I personally find the fact that the city is going to go underwater while baking in relentless heat waves and being hit by extreme weather events unless we radically cut pollution right now very compelling. A couple thousand New Yorkers across the state are killed each year by air pollution coming from energy use in buildings. And so that's one of the angles that we take. But predominantly we're talking about solving the pollution problem, climate change, and creating good jobs in the process while saving people money.
