The Importance of Integrating the Body, Mind and Spirit
When I finished after 10 years my parents thought it was a long time but it was actually just like the average time for a closer sakoma because it takes so long to integrate the body, mind and spirit. That's a great question. And I think that question is also why traditional shamanic apprenticeship takes so long. Once you have that spiritual experience from a ceremony, from a drumming, a trance dance to come down to earth.
