I was planning a flight around the world. A flight that would cement her name in the history books, but not for the reason she had dreamed of. I needed a top-top crew if I was going to pull it off. We'd take off from Oakland, California, and fly west to Hawaii. From Hawaii, we'd cross the Pacific all the way to Australia. After Senegal, Chad, Sudan, and Eritrea.
