The Uncanny Valley

The uncanny valley is the idea that we can do almost anything, not just on my computer, but in my world. There's nothing analogous to that ly in the physical world, let alone even around in most computer worlds. You could not make a cool nineties movie that made sense of where we are now because it would just seem too weird and maybe abstract. We step on our own dick when we try to get too cute about the uncanny valley. And unless you've got n your mind right about what a calendar is for you, and then what kind of stuff can go in it, you're going to end up fighting in it in a way that you never had to fight the calendar
