How to Engage and Involve Learners

It's a really important part of any educational practice to engage and involve for learner in what they are doing. So if you don't understand what their wants needs are then it would be very difficult for you to make a decision based on that starting principle. I think there's plenty of evidence in education that is very transferable. Ultimately students are not necessarily qualified to make pedagogical judgements.
