It does seem like there are rolls for both generative and discriminati valuation in understanding how these models perform. But i do agree with you about generative may be being a little bit better in a lot of respects. We cannot have to do things thtare probably fundamentally the correct thing to do that ideally doest need to quantitative improvement.
