If we just localize the data, that will make things better. A personal data localization is a pretty incomplete solution because it doesn't really matter whether the data is stored. It matters where the data can be accessed from. And so even if the data is all stored in the US on oracle servers, are we really saying that TikTok from its head office is not going to be able to access the data?
