The Tonal Quality She's Having in Her Throat
When i was four years old, my grandmother told me that cotton plants rip your hands up. And so when they rip your hands up, your hands bleed. This is the tonal quality she's having in her throat. Now i don't know what that is, but i know of something i need to pay attention to. So those types of things is what started. Like i've always thought about this type of stuff, but there were pretty similar things that happened in my life that made it so i was able to sit down and write it and put things in place. Because racialization makes us walk around like we crazy.
