Born Standing Up - A Book Review

I remember seeing him when I was a kid and I listened to that first record. Even as a kid, it just struck me as really, really funny, really funny. And in the, in the book, he explains, we had this breakthrough. He said every comedian had a version of this build up and then release and how it was timed. The punchline was the timing of where the release happened. Like if the tension just kept building and the joke never came, he thought to himself at some point people have to release that energy and they'll just start laughing when they want to.
