Tax Notes International's cover article focuses on the UN Tax Committee. Many people, even in the tax world, are completely unaware that this committee exists. I was completely unaware until I was approached and asked if I would consider being appointed to it. And I really had never heard of it. It's been around actually since 1968 in one form or another.
