Patrick Kind was 20 years old when he crashed his car in the mountains of West Virginia. He had driven to a small town called Grenza, 30 miles east of Elkins during winter break from college. The last hour and a half of driving was all isolated mountain roads with no other cars on the road. "It felt like I was the only one on the road,"Kind says.
