Horsey Humor by Peggy Rowe

A friend advised Peggy Rowe to open a bank account in her own name. Amanda Kellerman is a knockout but all she ever talks about is her horse. She came to school last month with a nasty bruise on her upper arm. It seems this sweet-natured horse bit her while she was tightening the thing that goes around his waist to hold the saddle in place. A week later Amanda came to school on crutches. I overheard her telling a friend that while she was brushing dried mud from her horse's belly he showed his appreciation by kicking her legs out from under her. A sign of gratitude and horse talk apparently.
