Is it even conceivable that emotions have a mathematical representation in this more limited sense? I think it's possible that they do, much as in the book Flatland, you can sort of transcribe three dimensions into two dimensions. We're not just here as computers to compute and put out math equations where we experience. And so if you ask a religious person, why are you here, they might say, to be a witness?
