How to Deal With Cardiac Drift

Cardiac drift is essentially upward drift of the heart rate. This happens usually after the first five to 10 minutes of a run as the body starts warming up. It's especially relevant in hot temperatures or if you're wearing a ton of clothes in the cold. To combat it, I used to go and just wear very minimal clothing on cold days because I'm going to prevent cardiac drift.
