From 1968 onwards, it literally came home. The imagery from the war was coming into the home. From their houses, we're seeing this really, really horrific stuff. And so, you know, this was sort of something coming home to roost in America. It's no surprise that we got last house on the left - West Craven has said he made that in response to seeing news real of Vietnam.
