In the case of attachment and anger, which is very much about yourself, you want something to be in a certain way. And you get angry because it's not like that. The trick here is you can only get rid of it with an antidote. So compassion means taking somebody else's well being on the same level as your own. When do you do that, anger can't exist any more,. Because it's not about you any more. That sounds incredibly liberating. I don't think i've ever been able to say that before.
