Is There a Bias in Group Success?

We might have a bias towards perceiving groups as driven by individuals, group success driven by individual success. Here in the west, we're more likely to do that than people in the east,. Often it's done with artificial stimuli. That, ok, the group is doing this because of the one successful individual. But yet we have grouped and we treat them as if they were individuals with ears and eyes. It's reflected in the language that we use.
