The Airplane's Air Speed Is Going Down, You Know?
During the i l s approach, the aerplane was flying into a head wind that had a wind speed of 60 knots or more at a thousand feet. Under these conditions, as the airplane descends, it experiences a decreasing head wind which must be recognized and compensated for by the pilots. The bigger concern is that when you're losing that headwin, you ays want to land on take off into the wind. At that speed we run into a danger of a stall. You have to immediately give it full power. Even though you're low to the ground, you have to nose otherwise you're going to stall and die.
