Is There a Convergence Between Ethics and Aesthetics?
There's a certain kind of convergience between that which is aesthetically beautiful and that which is ethically good. We are steeped in a universe of authoritarian, high modernism right where we are used to a top down approach to what constitutes good aesthetics. Once some one figures out how to do something in a certain way, it turns out that 99 % of humans are fairly incurious. They will carve a spoon the same way their father and their grandfather carved a spoon. There may not be as much conscious design. Why? There's an astonishing persistence of forms.
