CHAPTER

The Jungian Psychology of Friendship

In Jung's view you have got to get this projective thing conscious. In ancient rituals there were all these external projection dynamics, the gods were all out there. Through this modern period where we forget that this stuff is going on there's nothing really all that primitive superstition so we just all become addicts. Those people were primitive but we act out and then trying to get to a postmodern Jungian view in which we say no they weren't that stupid. There really are powers it's just that the most important ones that you got to deal with are not allout there. They're in here and you got to get conscious about relating to them.
