The steam OS DevKit client uses R-Sync under the covers. It just whizzes over the network, it's Python. And there's a debug output you can see when it's sending the files. So I've also used MU deck, which is a bundle of scripts for loading emulated games into the steam interface. That actually does some stuff in the background on the steam deck. To put in the sort of database entries in the client and also load in the images. You get proper poster images and the images with the background cut out when you go into the like side menu thing. The hardware is pretty good. When you play, the app image just loads up. Yeah
