The Significance of the Discovery of a Black Hole

Astrophysicists generally think in terms of two kinds of black holes that exist in nature. LIGO and Virgo found a 142 solar mass black hole, bigger than anything expected from stellar evolution. The existence of this black hole is telling us something about the loss of physics.
