A Brief History of the Argentinian Military in the Seventies
Miguel was in no condition to fight when the british task force arrived. By then miguel had lost 20 kilos and could hardly hold up his weapons. He went as an interpreter on a search mission for radio equipment that may have been transmitting to Britain. But this infuriated the full time officers in the argentine military. Many of them had been involved in the campaign of torture and murder at home against any one it considered a subversive. When we got back, if we were caught, we were brutally punished with pinning to the ground and horrible treatment by our officers.
