Do You Know What Your Training Plan Is?

Tom Doherty: I always remember thinking to myself, like, what is the goal for today? The goal is 10 miles. And then that will then enable the next goal, which is a workout in one or two days where I have much more specific pacing. So it ultimately comes down to knowing what the goal is of the workout and recognizing that your talent level as an athlete does not correspond to your easy running pace. That is just a byproduct of your fitness and to a certain extent, your training.
