No one knows why it wasn't before this flight, who knows how long it had been out of operation. The other way it would work is like a roll of foil that would get slowly unspooled and then the flight data would be etched on to the foil. It just wasn't working. Wi just frustrat but luckily, you know, this is thi's a pretty clear cut incident of what happened,. But it just goes to show like there were other issues going on here. So since they only had forty minutes of conversation, the ntsp couldn't determine whether the crew discussed the minimum fuel level that they should have had on board when commencing approach.
