The Foreign Policy Implications of the Erdogan Election
Inflation has been a problem for years. The central bank, keeping the interest rates low, not only is a sign of mismanagement of the economy, but it's a sign of authoritarian institutional capture. So I think the sort of institutional control of the super highly consolidated executive presidency that puts so much of power in Erdogan's hands means that the central bank can't function on its own.
