Thor: I think there's something very evocative about the case that you've given. People's gut reaction is to say, of course, that's justifiable. But let's say we go and look at a different case, which is someone breaks into a scientist lab. Then people suddenly think that there's something distasteful that's gone on. And then we want to ask ourselves why the difference in intuitions? Is there just this species going on that we think that puppies deserve our protection and lab rats don't?!
