Staff engineers help provide that translation level between our teams and the needs of those outside teams. So for example, if product comes and says we want this giant new feature, a staff engineer has to have the knowledge to look at what they're asking for. And so it's important not only to create those connections, but it's also important to listen to those people and hear their needs.
