Should I Reduce a Third Metacarpal Shaft Fracture?

Shaft fractures are different and proximal metacarpal fractures can easily be missed. There are acceptable degrees of angulation for meetingacarpal neck fractures in North America, except for a fifth meetacarpalneck. Some say 40, 30, 20, 10 for acceptable degree of angulation to get to the second meetsacarpal necks. But being aware of what our absolute indications are certainly helpful in the emergency department to help us do reductions.
