Our galaxy is Milky Way, right? And this next analogy I got right off of NASA's night sky website. So okay. If we shrink the sun down to smaller than a grain of sand, our little solar system would be small enough to fit the whole solar system in the palm of your hand. Now on that scale with our solar system in your hand, the Milky Way galaxy would be this size of North America. Our next-door neighbor and drama galaxy, it's about twice as big as the Milky Way.
