Defense Innovation Unit - Commercial Solutions Opening on Top of Other Transactions Authority
DIE, Defense Innovation Unit is using a process called commercial solutions opening on top of other transactions authority. We try and give vendors who are looking for an opportunity with the defense department and answer as to whether their solution can be qualified within 60 to 90 days. If you're chosen for a prototype contract we start by asking anyone to respond to a government problem with a pitch deck or white paper that they might send to a commercial customer so nothing special required. And then at the end of that period, we can immediately go into production there's no recomputing that's required.
